Was a lovely stay
The location of the hotel was great, a short walk to the station and right next to the Sumida River. The location was also a little bit removed from the busy-ness of the more popular locations, which was a relief. The cleaners were amazing, maintained a very high level of cleanliness.
The hotel room could probably do with some basic cutlery and a plate. Maybe a knife and fork or at least some chopsticks.

What was the highlight of The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by Hulic
Exceptional
Great location with Ryogoku station less than a 5 minute walk away. Several 24/7 convenience stores and plenty of restaurant options within a 10 minute walk. Was happy to have decided to pay extra for included breakfast - we had the choice between a small portion of eggs benedict (with salmon and bacon) or french toast (with maple syrup) each morning during our stay, as well as whatever we liked from the breakfast buffet which included your typical (but of a very good quality) basics such as scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, croissants, granola, and more. Staff were always very pleasant and polite and made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. I will be booking here again!
Laundry services at the facility are expensive, with no guest machines available at the time of my booking. If you're planning a long stay, be prepared to use a local laundromat (there are at least 2 within a 15 minute walk).

Great hotel for Tokyo stay, within 5 min walk away from Ryogoku Train station. The staff is professional and helpful. Th
The accommodation was sleek, spacious, and handy; the extra-large bed was one of my favourite features. The bathroom layout was particularly appealing to me; Before shower/ bath and toilet room, there was a ‘vanity’ area with a basin, wardrobe and shelves. Additionally, and this is a really great touch, the toilet was separated from the rest of the bathroom so that one person could shower while the other used the vanity area or toilet. Additionally, the rooms appeared to be quite well isolated, since I never heard any noise from the hallway or other rooms. Breakfast was a terrific way to start the morning, even though there were three main courses and several complimentary options. The staff would always make a variety of fresh drinks. On top of that, breakfast bar never felt crowed, and personel would always find their time to welcome and greet you.
